Youth Advisory Committee

THAT the Petrolia Youth Advisory Committee adopt as circulated the March 19, 2024 meeting agenda.

THAT an amendment be made toJanuary9,2024 Minutes to reflect Roll Call attendance, Committee Youth Members Addy Close and Matthew Shih were not in attendance, and did not provide regrets.

THAT the January 9, 2024 Youth Advisory Committee meeting minutes be approved as amended.

The Petrolia Youth Advisory Committee would like to request of council an amendment to their terms of reference to provide for the following committee composition. 1. Town ratepayers 18+ be changed from "up to 4" to "3 to 5" and 2. Youth between 12-18 years of age be changed from "up to 5" to "7 to 10"

The Petrolia Youth Advisory Committee accept with regret the resignation of Mary Van Den Berge as a community member, and thank her for the many contributions. AND THAT per the Committees terms of reference for replacement of a vacancy, a call for application be issued to fill the vacancy created by this resignation for the remaining portion of the term.

That the Petrolia Youth Advisory Committee acknowledges the 2024 Volunteer requests from the 150 Committee and defers any response until an increase in committee members takes place.

That the Petrolia Youth Advisory Committee select Community Betterment for the theme of the 2024 Youth Engagement Summit; AND THAT the date be set for Saturday, October 26, 2024 with a location to be determined.

THAT the Youth Advisory Committee meeting be adjourned until the next scheduled meeting date or at call of the chair.

THAT the Youth Advisory Committee adopt as circulated the January 9, 2024 meeting agenda.

THAT the December 19, 2023 Youth Advisory Committee meeting minutes be approved as presented.
